Delighted we were, when we encountered this huge empty canvas surrounding het Dinghuis in the city centre of Maastricht. An opportunity to create.

We contacted Visit Maastricht and got invited in the historical Dinghuis. From courthouse, prison to the famous 'Poesjenellenkelder' theater of Pieke Dassen. Nowadays it houses Visit Maastricht, which provides you with all the info needed of Maastricht.

Reason enough to bring an ode to the city.

We invited two local artists to work with us on this project, Robin Vermeersch and Mariëlle Yogi.
Together with Jorn Gruijters (Maastricht Streetart), parts of the city were highlighted in graphic forms, graffiti and abstract paintings. Beautiful & playful, yet with a rough touch. Just like every city has.

Robin is always exploring the city and documenting this in a book for all to see. He's a talented graffiti artist which can be seen at the Dinghuis. He painted the words 'Mosae', 'Sphinx', 'Bonne' and 'Radium', they all refer to parts of Maastricht.

Pieke Dassen, he can't be missed. We guess Mariëlle can give you all the information needed by now, since she was asked every 5minutes if it was Pieke Dassen she was painting. The locals know.
Yogi is a professional painter famous for her abstract portraits and positive energy, the locals know.
